According to King Solomon, revered as one of the wisest men in the world, credited with having been the author of most of the proverbs in the Old Testament book called Proverbs: “Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.”
Oh wise king! I catch your drift. Though I know you’re not specifically speaking with respect to money and finance, who wouldn’t want to direct a young bright mind and train them how to be financially savvy and make sound money decisions?
This is the reason why when I recommend these two websites: KIDPRENEURS.ORG and YoungEntrepreneur.com (brothers, Matthew and Adam Toren are the founders).
KIDPRENEURS was featured on NBC News. I think Sesame Street (which I raised my kids on) should incorporate a “KIDPRENEUR Segment” in their show. That’s if they haven’t already. I don’t keep up with Sesame Street any more. My kids are all grown (all 10 of them - ages range from 19 to 30 sumthin!) and I have an 11 year old (“surprise”) that can find her own way around NetFlix and YouTube, builds her own websites, makes her own animated movies, etc. Still, I think these two sites are on the right track to teaching a child about sound money management which is a critical part of training up children in the way they should go.
KIDPRENEURS motto is: “It’s Never too Early!”
Meaning: It’s never too early to encourage young entrepreneurs with big ideas!!!
Kidpreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs With Big Ideas!
